Man, was I wrong. Today I tried to play Turok and it froze 3 times within the first 10 minutes of the game. I thought it may have been caused by a defective disc so I tried others. Skate, Halo 3, Guitar Hero 3 and several other games froze pretty much instantly as well. The 360 is a piece of shit, it really is the worst console ever. It's a shame too, there are so many great games for it and the non gaming features are pretty nice too. I don't understand why it's still selling so well when every person that I know "with the exception of one guy who bought his console at launch" has experienced XBox 360 death at least once. I've sent this thing to Microsoft and had it repaired/replaced 2 times and both times I've had the same results. I'm done with it. I own a 360 console, 2 controllers, 2 battery packs, a usb charger cable, 2 guitar controllers and about 25 games. By my estimate Microsoft owes me somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,800.00, that doesn't include the $150.00 or so I've spent on Microsoft Points. They really should have to refund every penny I've WASTED on their piece of shit console, but we all know that ain't gonna happen. I guess I'll send the steaming pile of shit back to them one more time just so I can sell it immediately after it's returned to me. A lot of it is my own fault, I should've stopped spending money on it long ago. I hear that the elite "black" consoles do not have this problem so my question is this. Why doesn't Microsoft replace these defective consoles with the newer models? I don't give a shit about the 100gb hdd, they can keep it. The smaller hdd I already have is good enough for me, My computer has around 150 gb of storage, I don't need another 100 gb on my Xbox. I know that this ain't gonna happen either, but something's got to be done about this. People are getting ripped off by Microsoft and it's like nobody gives a damn. Is there a class action law suit or anything? Is there any way that I can get at least some of the money I've wasted back? It's ridiculous that Microsoft can knowingly sell a defective product and get away with it. It's not like the 360 costs 20 bucks and can easily be replaced every couple of weeks. I'm sure if LG "just for arguments sake" was selling a tv that was known to be defective that something would be done about it, so why is it cool for Microsoft to continue selling the XBox 360 when it is widely proven to be defective?
