Yea,it was a TV only remake to my knowledge..
I remember it made me feel dirty because it starred Mila Kunis when she was like 13, I was 20 at the time and all I could think during the movie was.. damn that girl is hot... then Pedobear busted through my door to tell it's wrong to look.
