For anyone who likes H.P. Lovecraft or who's a fan of the 2005 period piece THE CALL OF CTHULHU there's good news. Those guys are working on Lovecraft's THE WHISPERER IN DARKNESS. I haven't read this story yet but the trailer looks fantastic. If it's the same concept as COC, the movie will be made using only filming technologies available at the time of the story's printing.
If you missed THE CALL OF CTHULHU I can highly recommend it. The plot is a little uneven so I HIGHLY recommend actually reading the story first. But it is the most true-to-the-book H.P. Lovecraft film I know of and a hell of a lot of fun. All of the story's elements are there including the unearthing of Cthulhu. Uncle_Ash kindly recommended this to me last year.
