Is anyone else a little puzzled by the fact that, in popular culture, zombies are almost always described as ''craving brains''? Where the hell did that come from? The only zombie stories I can think of where zombies actually eat brains are Return of the Living Dead 1 to 3... oh, and the zombie story in that old Simpsons Halloween special (and even then, they ate other body parts as well). In everything else, they just eat whatever human body parts they can sink their teeths into. So why is the notion that ''zombies eat brains'' so damn prevalent?
It's a little stupid when reviewers talk of ''brain eating zombies'' when describing a movie where they don't have any particular preference for brain tissue, especially when it's a movie where zombies can be killed by destroying the brain (if they ate the brains of their victims, said victims would stay dead instead of joining the zombie horde).
Sorry for the slightly weird and pointless topic, but I'm just curious to hear what you guys think
