I dunno, it’s like my dad always said, in order for something to be worth $X there has to be someone willing to pay that price for it; sticker price seldom reflects any real measure of value. There are discs out there that are consistently worth a lot of money (ie. an authentic Criterion release of Salo) but most aren’t. I see stuff like this in ebay stores and amazon stores all the time, watch the item for months and no one buys it; while I’m watching it someone else often lists the item auction style and it closes at like 1/8th the price the other people are trying to sell it for. I haven’t watched those particular ones on ebay so maybe in this case I’m wrong. However, those 2 movies have been re-released in comparable or identical editions by other companies so that’s going to make selling them for a high price harder. Who knows though, maybe someone out there really wants a tin case LSCL or a Barrel Entertainment release of LHODES and would buy it just because it was the only one they could find. (Neither of those discs are really “rare” imo, LHODES didn’t seem that limited and there were 5000 LSCL tin cases released; in order for something to be “rare” in my book there’s gotta be less than 1000 of them, maybe 500 or so.) Good luck selling them if that’s what you’re going to try and do though, you never know.
