I'm thinking about renting this but I'd like to see what the folks here have to say about it first. That is if anyone has seen it.
The story(from what I've read) doesn't seem to be anything at all like the original. Is it a re-make in title only like Day of the Dead or what?

I was happy see this was not a sequel. They just used the title.
As it turns out, it's just another generic cookie cutter slasher.
Girl dies during a prank. One year later, on april fools day, the people responsible for the death start dying. yada yada yada. seen it all before.
Nothing special here what so ever.

Avoided it for all the obvious reasons. How about the kills ? Any Good ? Thought the original was a big pile of shit anyway.

Nothing new or exciting. drowning, electrocuting, throat slice....
There was one kill I liked, but it came at about 80 minutes into the film.  Way too little too late.

The only thing that would interest me about seeing this one is the fact that it was directed by the Butcher Brothers, who did one of my favorites from a few years ago, THE HAMILTONS. But I've passed so far, 'cause I just can't get excited at all for slasher movies anymore, plus I've heard APRIL FOOL'S DAY is really, really bad . . . .
