......the recent issue of HorrorHound magazine ? Well I say recent as I think by the time Ive wrote these words issue 23 will be out. But its worth getting a hole of Issue 22 as its a great read for the slasher fan . Inside there is a cool A-Z of 1980s slashers which has some good write ups. A page on Quintessential slashers, which I do not agree with. An article of scores for slasher films. And best of all a retrospective on THE PROWLER with some great photos and posters. Also a rather cool lookback at MEDIA home entertainment video release. We don't get this mag here so I have to have it specially shipped to my specialist shop. Its cheaper than Rue Morgue and Fango and has much better quality paper too. Add to that it has dozens of photos and is very colourful and jam packed. Its a good mag but this slasher issue was a good edition and one I hope slasher fans here picked up.

Its an American mag guys. How can a mere Brit trapped on my tiny floating mass have heard and get it even though it is not for sale here whereas you fellas will pass it ever day perhaps in your store. I dunno. It must be you young uns don't keep a keen enough eye open.

I've heard of Horror Hound. The problem is that I have a hard time buying magazines now when the internet is like one big magazine.

this
Fangoria was the only magazine I ever bought with any regularity and I haven't picked up an issue since House Of 1000 Corpses was on the cover.

Your Right There Tony. Its just I'm a sucker and I'm a collector too so I hate stopping a habit. Although it would be more efficient for me if I stopped.

They carry Horror Hound at Chapters/Indigo -- at least, the ones in Ontario. I don't know... it's a young magazine, and the couple of copies I perused didn't impress me too much, at least based on the content. It IS colourful, I'll give it that. But in a weird visual way, I found the magazine was like a paper version of a website. Like going to Bloody Disgusting and just printing it in full colour on good quality paper.
I haven't checked out the most recent ish, but I will next time I'm around a Chapters. But for my money, I'm still a Rue Morgue collector.

Me too man, I've been reading that magazine steadily now for a little over a year now, my first was the December 2008 issue covering Embodiment Of Evil.
And welcome back mate.

HorrorHound is a good magazine. I'll have to track down that issue, mainly for The Prowler article. A friend of mine (and lead actor in BloodPigs) wrote the Lucio Fulci Zombie article that came out back in Oct or Nov. Personally I'd be pissed if magazines went away and we had only websites to read about horror. I want to be able to have the magazine in my hands that I can look at anywhere rather than sitting behind my monitor.
