Sometime within the next week or so I'm going to absolutely slather this sub forum with music. It's going to be epic. I expect everyone to participate too. ...and guys, we don't have to make this a "misfits, blitzkid, generic horrorpunk" kinda atmosphere. Sure, there will be some of that, because it's something I am at least moderately interested in, but I want this particular subforum to be completely filled with all different kinds of music.
Like I said, I'll get a good start on it soon enough. I want us to make this sub forum into something we play in the background while we go about our daily business. Cooking, cleaning, just lounging around....whatever. Music should be a part of everyone's life. I firmly believe that. I know that sounds corny as hell, but it's the way I feel. I was raised in a house full of music lovers, and I like to take in as much of the stuff as I possibly can...

I'm gonna have to get back in the mix with music. I haven't followed any new stuff in about 2 years.
Most of my friends are on the dubstep bandwagon right now, and I can't buy into that.
Does good music still exist? If so, direct me towards it..

That dubstep shit is stupid. I'm not a fan of like electronic/dance shit and I don't see what is so different about dubstep that it needs a different genre name entirely but it's all garbage for the most part imo. My problem with popular music today is that it's all rooted in hip hop/dance. So many of the genres have been mixed together that it all sounds the same. Pop music isn't what it used to be and that's a shame because I used to love a good throwaway pop song.
