THE OBITUARY "Kill of the Week" #2
      #148010 - 03/04/10 05:59 PM

Valerie - My Bloody Valentine (1981)

The world's first human shower head...

Valerie was just another one of the girls living her life in the small town of Valentine's Bluff, who wanted nothing more than to enjoy the town's first Valentine's dance and celebration in 20 years. And to once and for all put all this Harry Warden nonsense to rest.

After the unfortunate cancellation of the town dance, Valerie attended a secret party held at the recreation room/mess hall of the Hanniger Mine. Drinking and having a good time with her boyfriend and friends.

Deciding some "alone" time was the best recourse, Valerie and her boyfriend retreated deeper into the facility for a little hanky panky. The condoms were aplenty, unfortunately the buzz was wearing off for poor little Valerie and all the beer was left back at the party.

Sending her boyfriend on a booze run, Valerie was alone and vulnerable when the killer finally struck. Terrorizing her on a dangerous chase through the building before cornering her in the showers and lifting her up by her face to impale her upon one of the sprinklers.

Indeed making her the world's first human shower head.

RIP Valerie, May you find a cold beer and sexual partnership in Heaven. Something that you were mere moments away from in your short lived life.

**WARNING**

A video that documents the terrible tragedy that befell Valentine's Bluff...

Fabulous death this. As is the film. I recall being a young lad and due to the terrible censorshit the film got I could'nt fully understand what actually happened.
And then I picked up Fangoria and saw the stills and pics and went crazy to see the uncut version . Although it was shown on the big screen uncut here in the UK I was too young.
The recent dvd , as I have stated elsewhere was a horror/slasher fans Godsend.

Damnit, can't even remember that part. I've definitely got to re-watch this. The only problem with 80s horror is, well, it was back in the friggin 80s. Hell, I was purposely killing brain cells back then.

I've yet to see he unrated version myself though it didn't hold me back from loving Riis film. After finding some of these screenshots of valerie's death a DVD copy of this is for sure on my toget list. That video was also a nice discovery, loved the editing and effort someone put into something dedicated to the original my bloody valentine.

Correct me if I am wrong but the unrated kills scenes are on you tube for folks wanting to get a look see what they missed.

Maybe its just me, but I'm finding YouTube seems to care less and less about copyrighted material on their website. I've watched complete versions of several movies there in the last few weeks.

Glad to be of service. Still lacking a solid Internet connection, but 3 should not disappoint. Should call this kill of every couple of weeks.
