Contrary to rumors, there will be no Shaun of the Dead television series. http://shocktillyoudrop.com/news/topnews.php?id=14315

I'm not surprised. I loved the movie, but I don't think it would work well as a television series...

I agree. I would be curious to check something like this out, but it most likely wouldn't work.

I'd still like to see them try it.
I want a Dead Set sequel too. In my opinion, Dead Set could easily come into the conversation when discussing the best made for tv mini-series' of all time...

Regarding Shaun on TV, meh. It could be worthwhile but I'm thinking about the success rate of movies that are adapted to TV. Lots of bombs in that department, and even when they're not they rarely compete with the quality of the original (Clone Wars anyone?). I can't think of one example right off the top of my head where TV did it better... someone help me out. And yeah, I like MASH, but I still think the movie tops the series in terms of sheet entertainment (maybe not in social commentary).

Good point. Aside from MASH, I can't think of a good movie to TV translation.
As far a Shaun of the Dead in a TV series, probably wouldn't work. I'm just totally a proponent for anything pro-zombie.
