Micheal Myers will live to kill again in Halloween 3-3D. Thankfully Zombie will not be returning to direct. which should mean no Sheri Moon Zombie either. My fingers are crossed.
Not sure if I want to see another Halloween movie yet after my disappointment with the last one.

I heard about this some time ago. Can't say that I'm looking forward to it...

Don't kid yourself, they're making a 3-D HALLOWEEN film. I'd say that's as dead as dead gets in this genre and industry. I've been staying with my parents for a short stint and they rented H2 and I brought it to my room, but couldn't even muster the will to watch it.
And yesterday at best buy with a friend when I saw the RZ Halloween movies on the shelf, I remembered how the original HALLOWEEN was the first horror film I ever saw at the age of 8, Michael Myers meant a lot to me as a slasher icon so much so that my original login name was sHaPe.
And to think that I am 25 and actually living in a world where "I" a huge horror film fan am avoiding a movie with Michael Myers in it almost brought a tear to my eye.
It's unbelievable the lack of talent, ability, and creativity these days. Especially with all the resources at these tool's disposal. I guess you can't buy genius.

I've come to terms with the fact that horror films aren't made for horror fans anymore. At least we get one or two "real" films every year or so.

That's the saddest story I've read in ages.

It was quite sad, I stood there in stunned silence for a moment.
What's even sadder is the fact that we're even in this situation.
I will say that I'm probably a little harder to please than some viewers, but I feel like they're not even trying anymore.

I genuinely think that Zombie thought he was making good movies. Unfortunately, he was wrong. As for the studios, they have been in cookie cutter mode for quite some time now. And the only way they are going to change is if they stop making money on this type of shit. And sadly, it's not going to happen any time soon.

I agree with you on ZOMBIE thinking he was making good movies, however, it's quite obvious he's a VISUAL DIRECTOR and not a story driven artist. When he tried to inject more "story" in to HALLOWEEN it came off like he didn't really get it. And his other films that I saw came off as too much style with very little substance. If it weren't for bill mosely I would have never seen that shite.
I noticed your favorite movie was DAY OF THE DEAD, and I had another curious thought while viewing the AVATAR forum. A lot of the old horror films that most of us love, were "socially relevant" and not just...movies.

I can't argue with that.

Bill is The Dude. I'll watch him in anything. I am a fan of Zombies other films though. House, DR and El Superbeasto are all highly entertaining.

We still get some movies with social relevance, District 9 for example, but not near as many as we did. And Romero always uses it in his zombie movies.
