First Hammer gets back in business and now they are bringing one of their biggest stars back into their folds. Christopher Lee was cast yesterday as "August" in the upcoming horror flick tentatively titled "The Resident". Also starring are Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Hilary Swank. Looking to be a pretty solid cast. It will be directed by Antti Jokinen whom I have never heard of.
I haven't seen "Beyond the Rave", and "The Wake Wood" is still in production but I have to have high hopes for anything from Hammer with Christopher Lee in it. I am excited.

That's a helluva cast. I could see them convincing Lee to return to the fold as it were, to the name that really made him famous. I was not aware, however, that the reanimated Hammer had that kind of financial war chest. Awesome news though, I hope it's a winner.

I heard that new Hammer movies are nothing like the old ones, but Christopher Lee is always an interest-peaker.

I wouldn't expect them to be the same as the old one's. I can however hope for good quality Horror. Especially with Lee in the mix. Now if they could only bring back Peter Cushing and Terence Fisher from the grave...
