Yeah, Sigler tends to embellish things quite a bit. He can go off on a tirade to explain certain things, but other times he leaves it open to your imagination. That really doesn't bother me at all when it comes to horror or sci-fi.

You should check out Ancestor or Earthcore next, EA. You seem to enjoy Sigler's work, so you really can't go wrong with either of them...

Earthcore is kinda speaking to me. I might wait a bit before starting another Sigler, but who knows. Many times it's just what I find sitting on the shelf when I'm looking. That's what happened with Infected.

I thought I'd give this thread a bump. I know that EA has looked into Sigler's work, but I really think more of you guys should do so. I've become a huge fan of this guy since I started this thread. I now anticipate new content from the guy on a regular basis. Just a heads up to those of you who enjoy sci-fi. Sigler's character bios for The Crypt are now complete and they're all located here in easy to listen to 20 - 45 minute episodes: http://www.podiobooks.com/title/the-crypt-01

Do yourselves a favor guys. At least listen to the three "The Passenger" episodes of BloodCast season 2, located here: http://www.podiobooks.com/title/bloodcast-2 and the Private Pippa Remic chapter from The Crypt. Those two particular stories introduce Sigler's take on zombies and both are excellent.

Sigler's "zombies" are brought about by a nanotech medication that the military developed to help injured soldiers in the field. I love it. Seriously guys, take the time and give Sigler a chance. I feel that many of you will be entertained...

I checked out the audio book of Infected and really enjoyed it. (got to love Perry.) This was some time ago and i haven't checked out any more of his stuff though I definitely would like to.

There's a ton of Scott Sigler content on www.podiobooks.com. Contagious is essential if you enjoyed Infected. The "zombie" stories I linked are killer too.

Oh, and I didn't notice this post until I checked my messages.

No sweat man.
I did enjoy his take on zombies in Infected, so maybe Contagious is my next logical step.

The nanotech zombies are totally different, man. Those two stories come highly recommended. They will not disappoint...

Downloaded and listened to The Passenger last night. Very very cool. I loved this take on zombies, and how Sigler puts you inside the mind and body of someone as they are turning. Very cool approach and I enjoyed it.
Thanks for the recommend DS. Again, I'll have to check more Sigler out soon.

Enjoyed Infected a lot. Reminded me of the old school horror novels we had here in the 70s and 80s. Not read anymore from this writer though. Is the sequel just as good ?

It's hard for me to say whether Contagious is "as good" as Infected, because they are so different. I can say that I enjoyed both quite a bit...

Last night I listened to"You're a Damned Fool, Charlie Brown" from BloodCast, Season 2 as it sounded like an amusing and interesting premise and it was only about 15 minutes long.

The premise for "You're a Damned Fool, Charlie Brown" for those who may not know:
Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang in WWII after they're all grown up.

I laughed my arse off. Funny stuff!. Oh and violent too. Funny and violent.

Thanks again DS, for the Sigler heads up! More folks should check him out.
