Any one play this or even heard of it? My sister runs a gaming store in town and I picked this up on a whim (cuz its zombies afterall) a few months ago. Very very fun. It has received some criticism, but these seem to be from "hardcore" board/wargamers, and I am certainly not one of these folks. Therefore this game is perfect for me. Its straightforward, not complicated, and purposely has a campy B movie feel. This game is not meant to be scary, its meant to be fun,, and it is. For $20 you get all you need, including perhaps the best part - 100 little plastic zombies!! The object is to either kill 25 zombies,(not nearly as easy as it sounds) or get the hell out of dodge via the helipad, once the helipad tile is placed.
Check out the artwork for the cards that are part of the game. Very well done.

Many have painted them, I have not as of yet.

Heres some figues unpainted. To give you an idea of the campy humor in this game, the player pieces are referred to in the directions as "shotgun guys"
There are about 7 expansions at the moment, one of which is a mall, a la Dawn of the Dead.
Heres the official site- http://www.twilightcreationsinc.com/zombies/ Here's a lot of info on it at boardgamegeek> http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/2471
Again, I am definitely not a board gamer type, side from playing Risk and Stratego years ago. But for the zombie and zomb movie lover, this game is truly a blast to play. There are swarms of zombies, there is a lot of screwing over opponents, and there is a lot of humor at all times. Great game for playing with fellow zombie lovers whilst having a few libations!

The thing thats cool about it is that its a)Filled with zombies and b) Very easy to play with simple yet effective rules. So while I am sure a lot of "hardcore" boardgamers and war gamers would scoff at it - screw em! I am not a "hardcore" boardgamer, nor do I want to be!
Suggestion: If you have 2-3 buds who also are partial to zombies and horror movies and their cliches, buy some beer and play this game. Good times will ensue I suspect.

I've never been into the whole role playing thing (for lack of a better term) in general, but I think this game could be fun.
I'll give it a try at some point...
