Brentwood releases can be "gray-market", which means they've probably slipped into public domain or no one's sure who the rights holder(s) are. That's been an issue with a lot of these movies. It takes a lot of effort and cash to track some of these down with all the years of haphazard releases.
I'm so glad Grindhouse did for this one as well as all their (hopefully soon) upcoming releases. Love these guys.

Hey guys ! This is my first post here. I saw that "PIECES" was the topic and so i had to contribute. It's cool that they are realeasing the film again, I have in my hands my copy allready, its in a compilation of films called Blood Bath ! It's four great bloody movies and I get it from best buy for 7 bucks. Good deal. Sometimes they lump up obscure horror movies into an afordable set. I would much rather have gotten a nice special edition but who knew ? I took what I could get. My copy of Pieces is also from Brentwood. I have a few others from Brentwood as well, including Unhinged. I appreciate the information on their releases. I would rate my Brentwood DVDs copies as VHS quality as well, but very happy to happy to have them versus no DVD release at all, especially when it comes to Pieces. I watched it over Shocktoberfest because my last viewing was about 25 years ago.

I am guessing you already know this but there is now a Two Disc Edition of the film by Grindhouse.
Came the Tuesday before Halloween.
