Haunted Cop Shop 2 (1988)

Western style Zombie films are on the rare side when it comes to Hong Kong, but I still want to include them when I can and here is something of a loose HK zombie film. It’s the sequel to the film of the same name, only that one had more to do with vampires, not that this one doesn’t feature them, but there is a subplot revolving around a zombie hoard.

When vampires attack the polices special hearing on the dangers of the supernatural it makes an impression.

The police then set up a special anti supernatural team made up of less then elite members.

They all go off together to their special training camp. Son afterward they attract ghosts vampires and zombies with their idiotic antics.

When the zombies show up they use innovative tactics to fend them off.

As you would expect Ricky Hui gets beat up and the officers battle for their loves.

This film falls into a very small subgenre of what amounts to a supernatural version of the movie Police Academy, the other prominent example being Vampires Settle on Police Camp. I would fully recommend both of these as well at the first Haunted Cop Shop film which just got a new DVD putout for it.
