Check it out here. I followed this from a AICN link. I guess my main questions (as I ask regarding about alot of sequels) is why? I've never heard an uproar from Romero fans or horror buffs or anyone else wanting this. And eventually the *reimaging* made it's way to the big screen with some success. What's to be gained by this? The dollars that studios are raking in on the rental front must be astounding. And don't we have enough *dead* confusion already with ZOMBI floating around out there? I dunno, I am just sequeled and reimaged to death at this point, and this news this tops off kind of a suck day.

I saw a remake of NOTLD when I was a kid and I still love the movie to this day. I saw a remake of Dawn Of The Dead and I accepted and loved it as well. I saw a shitfest 3-D rehash of NOTLD and didn't say anything negative. I saw a re-imagining of Day Of The Dead and thought it was shit, but still took it in stride. The news of this direct sequel is where I draw the line.
I hope this movie never sees the light of day. Hopefully this is a bad joke...

I kind of have to admit, I really wanted to see a sequel continue the story of those who survived.
but admit, this is a bit out of hand.

I'll act as if it doesn't exist...

Maybe if Georgie Boy was directing or involved in some way...
I thought the end of NotLD was, to say the least, inspired. However the endings to DAWN and DAY left me unsatisfied. Occasionally a fuzzy ending makes sense depending on the movie (THE MATRIX for example). But mostly they leave me feeling like I'm finishing a book with the last page missing. DAY's ending was a little more concrete (compared to DAWN that is), but not by much.
