I seem to recall that the AB 20th Anniversary Halloween VHS (clamshell case) had more top and bottom info to the picture. Specifically, I remember being able to see much more of the lovely PJ Soles.
Looking recently I've only been able to find WS copies and I can't remember if the one I owned was WS or not. I actually thought I had a FS copy that might have been open-matte considering the perceived extra info.
Absolutely irrelevant to anything but these things make me a little crazy. Anyone have any info? Maybe I just dreamed the whole thing

Its not unusual to find full screen versions of a film that contain more picture at the top and bottom then the theatrical or widescreen version. Pan & scan full screen will give you less, but distributers tend not to put the effort into pan & scan and just unmat the orginal film. They can do this since most films are shot at an aspect that is much larger then what ends up on the screen anyway.

Thanks for the info Mojo.
It seems the answer is a mere penny away. lol Wonder if I should spring for it? I'm doubting now that there even was a FS version of that particular release. It was probably my brain playing tricks on me. Like the first time I watched Jaws and swore that I could see teeth sticking out of Quint's chest when he gets nibbled. Hell, I suppose it could have even been the Video Treasure release from way back.
