Odd with the AB DVDs and tin plus all the 7 Doors of Death cheapies that they'd choose to rerelease this. Not sure if there's anything that new about it, but I have no doubt it'll be quality. Personally I was never completely happy with the video quality of the other official releases, so maybe there's improvement there (Someone should do the same with Gates of Hell). Below is a link to view the sell sheets.

I'll stick with my old AB copy which has been OOP for a few years. I know plenty of people that will be willing to buy this day one. I gave one of my friends my old VHS copy of the Beyond, when I got the AB DVD. I know he's wanted a DVD copy since.

The AB one has terrible box art and the same special featueres... I can't imagine it being in high demand unless you have the tin.

I got the tin right when it came out (feels like a while ago). Really nice set.
There does seem to be an amazing number of cheap-ass DVD versions floating around, under various titles.

I'd like to get a really good DVD of this film, I have the bare bones anchor bay, really wanted that tin though. I'll have to keep my eyes on this, but not sure yet.

The AB is far from bare bones.

Hell, I've got the old AB clamshell VHS tape of The Beyond, and it's always been good enough for me. It's probably the nicest VHS tape I've ever owned, and the picture quality is amazing. My copy of Zombie is also an old AB clamshell VHS tape. They're the only VHS tapes I still own, and I'll keep them both until I absolutely have to replace them with dvds...

I'm switching out my AB copy for this new dvd. Grindhouse dvd will be better quality, with better extras.

Supposedly its a better transfer but from the sell sheet they are the same extras... I'll get it if the reviews say the transfer is an improvement.

Wow, I don't know how I've never noticed this thread until now... I really like the DVD cover and the front of the flier is even cooler! That said, this probably won't replace my tin either though, unless the quality of the video is vastly superior (The previous AB release is not fresh in my mind but iirc it was pretty good...). I will, however, hope I can grab a few of those fliers at the next Chiller! :]
