Marvel Comics and Richard Corben (of Creepy, Eerie and Heavy Metal fame) are releasing a second Haunt of Horror 3-part mini-series based on the works of H.P. Lovecraft. The first mini focused on Edgar Allan Poe's stories. I do not remember the Poe works (published a couple of years ago) but from what I have seen on the web both series look like they will be worthwhile. I am particularly interested to see some Lovecraft's ideas translated to Corben's art style.

Dude, I'm sure you know this, but for anyone else's benefit that's not so up on comics, you gotta make sure to have you're local shop special order anything that's not X-men or Batman. These small guys love to sell stuff and want to know what personally interests you. They are generally in it for the fun vs. profit, but if it's an out the way title, they may only order two, or none. And support you local comic shop, it's a tough business to make successful.

Well, you'd think that a small comic shop would order stuff that's not run of the mill when specifically asked to, but the guy who owns the one I go to is a douche.
He won't even order The Walking Dead. A couple of years back he was pushing the Infinite Crisis shit down everyone's throat, and I told him that I don't do DC books. He's had it out for me since then.
The guys who work at the shop are involved in major douchebaggery as well. They'll tag a 50/50 variant for $20.00 the day it's released in a lame ass attempt to rip off somebody who isn't in the know.
This shop is notorious for ripping off kids too. They'll try to get younger kids to trade in relatively new Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 games for 5 bucks.
The only time I go to this shop is when I want to catch up on Amazing Spider-Man. I've cut back on the hobby big time in recent months, but when the urge hits I'll just shop online. There are some great online comic shops...
