Yea, games like Mass Effect never come to PC.. except that it is and in a much superior version.

Dude Mass Effect is made by Bioware who is a hardcore PC games company (Balders Gate 1+2, Neverwinter Nights, etc), they Have taken MS's money to provide games for their systems but always make a better version on PC (true for every game so far (KOTOR 1+2, Jade Empire), and Dragon Age(their next game) is being designed specifically for PC and not 360 or PS3.

PC got all of the previous MGS games except 3, Konami has already discussed they will likely bring 4 to PC as well (Konami and Capcom used to have Shakey PC support but lately Nvidia and Intel have been paying for quality ports resulting in much superior versions of games like Devil May Cry 4, Assassins Creed, Lost Planet, etc).

Xbox 360 gamepads now work instantly with the games on the PC (can hook a wired controller right to the PC, and can get a cheap receiver for the wireless models).

But that being said PC is not a console replacement, it's just something you need and a minimal cost can make that which you NEED able to play games well. so a really good video card is $150, a motherboard and cpu another $150, memory about $50, $350 seem like a lot to spend ever 5 years on gaming?

If you want to play both Mass Effect and MGS4 (unless things change) you need an Xbox 360 and a PS3 ($500+400=$900) (for $900 I can build a Quadcore with a top of the line video card that is roughly twice as powerful as a 360).

the investment to keep them current is so minimal these days, pricing dropping monthly. It's not a replacement, it's just a better way to play MOST games (I would buy every first person shooter on PC personally.. most last forever with the flow of free content)

I love consoles and fully intend to own my own 360, I'm just waiting for them to get their shit together, and I seriously have not missed anything, every game I wanted comes to PC, maybe some come too late(Gears of War took 6 months, Dead rising will be over a year when it finally comes), Mass Effect is expected to be about 2-3 months later than the 360 release.

but it's worth waiting for the extra content and superior..everything.

There will be 360 games I can't play on PC and will play on 360, but they are not here yet (Ninja Gaiden 2, Resident Evil 5), single player experiences I don't mind waiting to play (waiting for the RROD to be a thing of the past)
