HorrorSpeak---Terror Awaits You in Every Forum!!!!: Lust, Caution

This is not a horror movie, but I assume you all watch more asian films than just horror. This is the latest film from Director Ang Lee and is actually a true story about a group of college students who start up an acting group during WWII to raise money to support the Chinese troops in fighting Japan (which has invaded certain parts of China at this time). The group discovers a man by the name of Mr. Yee has been dealing with the Japanese and is a traitor. They use their acting skills to create real life characters to put themselves into Mr. Yee's life, have the beautiful Mrs. Mak(Wei Tang) seduce him and the ultimate goal is to seperate him from the tight security surrounding him and make him pay for his betrayal to the Chinese people.

My wife of course being Chinese keeps up with all of the movies and this one was one of the bigger hits in Chinese last year so she's been bugging me to get my hands on it. I finally got a copy which only had Chinese language so I ripped it to Divx and embedded the English subtitles. I honestly was not looking forward to it as I imagined it just another boring chick flick.. but what I found was a very well made movie with a plot that was hard to stop thinking about. This movie is just amazing IMO and a definate must see for anyone who loves movies.

I actually suggest you seek shadier means of finding the film as it's going to be cut all to hell unless you buy it in Europe. Even though it was made in China, the graphic sex in this film will be cut to hell there, and almost as badly in the US I am sure. One thing that will give it a tough time in both markets is me and my wife truely believe the sex taking place is real, this truely does not look like fake g-string play loving to us but it's hard to say.

One thing to be aware of is that they wanted to make everything look real for that era, so if you get grossed out by girls with armpit hair the sex scenes might turn you off.

But this is an amazing movie, you should all look for it where you can find it.
