Dude, that was hilarious!!
Highlights:
**Funny mood, never too serious
**good editing
**loved the sound effects, both "serious" ones and the comical ones. Great choices.
**For a low budget you actualy had some damn fine zombie effects!
**Some great comedic gags, my fave being the Deaf/Dumb Drug Dealer.
**Very cool putting in bloopers during the end credits. I laughed my asshole off.

Couple questions:
What camera you use?
What editing software?
Is this your first?

Great work, man. Keep it up.

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it. It was shot over maybe two weeks using nothing more then a digital camera (not camcorder) and edited on Windows movie maker. The editing took me a good month and a half though. The Music is written and recorded (guitar/synth) by myself.

The Budget broke down to all the random horror style props I had plus a few donations, each zombie cost roughly $6. The Make-up was cheap but the labor was long and hard, just the zombie hands we spent a good hour and forty minutes with two people doing the job. Most "Full" zombies took four hours with two to three people.

This isn't my first horror movie, it's my 2nd! The first was done using a camcorder and edited using one VCR to another VCR so it was really lame. I consider this my first real movie.

Again I'm glad you liked it, (I'm the zombie robber) we're getting ready to work on another horror movie (non-zombie). We're gonna up the budget, already got a top of the line camcorder on it's way and shopping for some pro editing software. I'll post some info as the project moves along, scripts already done!

I have to say, that is one of the best homemade horror shorts I have seen. You did this with Windows Movie Maker? No friggin' way. What really stood out to me were all the different shots. Most DIY'ers either have almost no scene movement or they move the camera so much you can't even get your bearings. Your scene selections were awesome. Loved Vlad Zombie's POV coming down the hall with outstretched arms. And hell, you included a blooper reel at the end... outstanding dudes.

Thanks again and yes... that's just Movie Maker. I'd also like to credit "Audicity" a sound recording program that made alot of the sound fx's possible.

The Blooper reel was a must seeing as over those two weeks we shot a good 120 + hours of footage. I learned alot about film making from watching alot of Romero interviews, he shoots tons of footage so it's good enough for me!

I meant to ask. Where did you film those beginning credit shots? Some sort of warehouse? It looked cool, especially with the interesting angles you used.

It's the basement to the grocery store I work at, the big machines are the compressors for the coolers.
