I can think of a few that I beleive belong on that list:
From Beyond Gojira The Creature From The Black Lagoon I think those deserve places on that list (at least mine).

I think Peter Jackson's early films would count. They all involve monsters and beasts.

um, Frankenstein? Dracula, The Wolf Man... these are some that come to mind, i mean the latter 2 aren't really monsters but come on... these are the Universal Monsters.
