That's right ladies and gentlemen, start your chainsaws and fasten your seatbelts, it's time for that yearly time-old tradition of a month-long salute to the genre we all love best. Now, I'm sure we all know the way this goes (keep a log here on horrorspeak of how many horror films you watch this month, and tally them up on november first). Remember, only horror films count. May the best maniac win.

I thought Severance was decent. Nice gore and humor but a little loose around the edges in the plot department.
October 2nd - Army of Darkness (Close enough to horror)

I really enjoyed it. I found the gore to be pretty decent, and I found the film to be, well, hilarious.

Oct. 4th - The Night Stalker
1st of two made for TV movies w/ Darren McGavin as Kolchak. Followed by the Kolchak Night Stalker TV series. Any other Kolchak fans out there?

Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday."

Hell Yeah! Though The Night Stalker is definitely the better of the two, the Night Strangler (directed by Dan Curtis!) is pretty cool as well.

Oct. 5th - The Night Strangler
I just discovered that The Night Stalker and The Night Strangler screenplays were written by Richard Matheson. I had no idea Matheson created Kolchak. Cool.

Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday."

What American or British Horror at that time wasn't Matheson created is probably a better question.

WOW, I could have filmed this with my neighbors in a weekend with a Sony handicam and it would have been better. Probably the worst movie I've actually sat all the way through LOL!!!
