Any other Kolchak fans out there?
Hell Yeah! Though The Night Stalker is definitely the better of the two, the Night Strangler (directed by Dan Curtis!) is pretty cool as well.

Oct. 5th - The Night Strangler
I just discovered that The Night Stalker and The Night Strangler screenplays were written by Richard Matheson. I had no idea Matheson created Kolchak. Cool.

Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday."

What American or British Horror at that time wasn't Matheson created is probably a better question.
