Not really classic horror, but a hilariously bizzare film about the making of Nosferatu, I had watched this years ago, and just recently watched it again, it's a tad slow but I think that's how E. Elias Merige directs his flicks, (if anyone's seen begotten I mean come on lol)
I thought john malcovich who I really dislike really did a good job here, and willem defoe as MaX schreck is hilarious. when they do film, and show it in black and white it's just funny to me, and the movie is so quotable, cause you have two looney's one who's a vampire just going nutzoid on eachother, did anyone else like this flick?

Looking forward to seeing this one again soon. I noticed it was coming on IFC just before Halloween . . . set my DVR to record it last night, as I don't remember much about it from when I saw it a few years ago.

Awesome movie, saw it and loved it even before I saw Nosferatu. I'm a big E. Elias Mehrige fan (Begotten is one of my favourites) and I think this film serves as a fitting love letter to a horror classic.

I watched Begotten for the first time a few months back. Can't say that I cared much for it.
I guess I'm not the "art film" type. I just didn't get it...
