According to several sources, the studio is upset at the opening boxoffice receipts for Grindhouse and are seriously considering splitting the film in two and re-releasing them seperately.
Argh!

Which makes no sense...it will cost them 20+ million to re-release the films separately. and if people didn't go to see it the first time, they're not going to see it now.
Plus it totally defeats the purpose of the film.

I read somewhere that they've decided against this idea after realizing it would be pointless. Though I think they are going to release them seperately overseas.
