The Beyond. Probably the fourth best horror film of all time, right behind ED, Dawn of the Dead and Halloween.

I know most if not all of the board will disagree with me but I personally perfer his City of the Living Dead. It had a real unearthly feeling to it. If the world WERE about to end I wouldn't be surprised if exsistence became just as Schizophrenic as the film.

While I admit the beyond is his best, I would have to say my personal favorite would be zombi 2.. This is the movie that years ago first introduced me to fulci and it will always have a special place in my heart.

Beyond, but House by the Cemetary is a close second.

In the genre of horror, I don't see how people bash Fulci films for being plotless. They have the same amount of plot as 90% of the horror films out there. And he's a better director than almost all of them out there.

I hate the title "zombi 2", I prefer just plain "Zombie".

I voted Zombie.

Since this poll asked for a favorite of Fulci's Horror films, I chose "City Of The Living Dead".

However, my overall favorite films of Fulci's are his giallo (thrillers) (i.e. "Lizard In A Woman's Skin", "Don't Torture A Duckling", & "One On Top Of The Other") which don't really qualify as Horror for me personally.

Although I love THE BEYOND, ZOMBI 2 (ZOMBIE, ZOMBIE FLESH-EATERS) would be my favourite. It was my first sampling of fulci, & my first taste of that wonderful stuff called gore.I was so impressed by it's gore & violence. Considering I was only in grade 5.

House By The Cemetery is definatley one of my favourites (Fulci, and horror in general), I love the part when the dad and Dr. Freudstein duke it out. That was hella-cool.

It's hard to choose... I've got a soft spot for CITY OF THE LIVING DEAD because it was the first Fulci flick I watched. But then again, he's made so many great movies, that I have a really hard time choosing an all-time favorite. At the present though I'm really into DEMONIA, so I'll go with that one.

I voted for Zombi 2. Absolutely love this film and can never get enough of it. However, The Beyond is a very close second. I remember the first time I saw Zombi 2. Rented it from a local mom and pop. The VHS tape was really worn out. Crappy picture and the audio was all messed up. But hell I still had a heck of a time. That REALLY UGLY zombie that tries to come through the window at the hospital always creeps me out.

I've only seen City of the Living Dead once and didn't care too much for it. I really need to revisit this film again. I have a feeling I'll love it on the second viewing.

Do you mean this guy?

I have say, Fulci sure knew how to do Zombies. I love how truly decrepid and dirty they look. Some of my favorite all time zombs are Fulci creations.

I'm in agreement, though I prefer Zombi 2, the zombies in L' Aldilą had a certain ghostly quality to them that I love.

THE BEYOND. ZOMBI 2 was great and all, but lacked an overall interesting story, which THE BEYOND has. As a matter of fact, I think it's such a great story, somebody should remake it!

Remake it? Why? It's already good movie? It's have this "80's-movie" atphosmere. So, I think that a remake with someone like Sarah Michelle Gellar, who plays in all these pop-movies al'a "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" or remake of "ther grudge".

I was kidding when I said they should remake it. Then again, don't be surprised when in the next couple of years, Hollywood announces a remake. They're remaking everything. EVERYTHING! We should just jump on the bandwagon and start remaking things ourselves. Remakes are good. Remakes are great. Remakes are our lifeblood. Need more remake. Hmmmm, tasty remake.

The Beyond followed close by Gates of Hell. I love Fulci's work though I have only seen the most common films of his. House of Clocks was good too.

Zombie is by far my favorite, but I enjoy many of the master's work (The Beyond, Gates of Hell, House by the Cementry, NY Ripper, and even Zombie 3). They are entertaining and easily re-watchable. Zombie holds a special place in my heart because it was one of the first films I ever rented on video, along with Dawn of the Dead and The Empire Strikes back. Now that is an ultimate triple feature. It was also probable my first true R-rated horror film.

I'm beginning to come around when it comes to Fulci's work. I think he had a great eye for making things LOOK eerie or scary, but I'm not convinced that he had the ability to tell a great story. There isn't a lot of substance to his films, but some of them are visceral and stunning in their own way. That has to account for something if you ask me. I'm not familiar with all of Fulci's work, but from what I've watched I prefer Zombie.

I would prefer being punched in the face by Kimbo Slice to watching Zombie 3 again, but from what I understand Lucio Fulci can't be held 100% responsible for Zombie 3's shittiness...
