So... welcome to my new column! 
Here I will post some pictures of either extremely gory or extremely disgusting moments as seen in Asian horror movies. I hope you'll like my dish. Bon appetit!

The movie? NYI AGENG RATU PEMIKAT (an obscure Indonesian fantasy/horror flick)
The victim? A witch
What happens? After a quarrel with a strong, beardy man the pretty beautiful witch finds an extremely messy end. First the man strangles her to death and then he rips off her head (complete with dangling intestines) - which flies away and transforms into a bird by the way. Suddenly the belly of the headless body bursts open in a shower of blood & guts (think of Cozzi's CONTAMINATION and you get the picture) until a black cat jumps out of the open belly right into the stunned man's face! Sounds good, doesn't it? Well, look for yourself...

The movie? THE DEVIL (1981)
The victim(s)? A few unfortunate guys
What happens? Well, with the help of black magic one evil asshole gets rid of some of his enemies in true HK horror flick fashion! Their bodies are infested with all kind of worms, maggots, centipedes and snakes, and they not only puke 'em up in wonderful close-ups, no, they even burst out of several boils all over their bodies. Even their intestines are infested with worms, and in one cool moment a good witch grabs hold of 'em and pulls them out from one guy's stomach! Certainly the # 1 among all those HK worm puking flicks! A truly tasty movie. Bon appetit.

Ilove Suzzanna, i can never EVER find any of her movies anywhere for under $60! do you know anywhere that caries them for a reasonable price?!?!
ive checked ebay and amazon all the time but the only thing ive ever found is a guy with "Queen of Black Magic" for $150.

Ready for some nasty eye-violence Fulci-style!? Ready or not, here I come...
The poor guy in the pic above has trouble with his hand. You see, it's kind of possessed, the fingernails grew to long sharp claws and now they are tearing out his eye... He doesn't seem happy with this situation. Oh, by the way, this can be seen in KEMBALINYA SI JANDA KEMBANG.
This is a scene from the Indonesian fantasy flick AJIAN RATU LAUT KIDUL and this gangster just got what he so much deserved. He has his eye ripped out by a snake-kind-of-thing.

The following scenes are not from horror movies but so what?... I like them and that's why they're here. 
The first two pics are taken from the Hong Kong action flick ANGEL FORCE starring cute Moon Lee. An entertaining actioner that is pretty brutal in places, like you can see on the pictures. Pic # 1 shows an awesome knife-in-the-throat moment, while the guy in pic # 2 has his knees shot apart by bullets straight out of a machine gun.
Pic # 3 is - as most of you probably will know (or if not, shame on you!) - from Corey Yuen's excellent and hugely entertaining Ninja movie classic NINJA IN THE DRAGON'S DEN, starring Conan Lee and Hiroyuki Sanada. The following sequence is my favorite moment as it's both funny and gory. The two fight against a wizard who has his body made immune against swords. So when Conan Lee hits and slashes him with his sword there is no effect at all. But then, master Sanada takes his sword and cuts off his foot as if it were nothing! The reason? Well, the magic is local, and Sanada and his sword are from Japan so the magic has no effect on them. It's as simple as that!

Here are two gory moments from the EKO EKO AZARAK series... Pic # 1 is taken from the opening of the first film WIZARD OF DARKNESS, where a poor girl has her head crushed into the ground by a huge metal beam. The second scene shows the murder of a guy in the sequel BIRTH OF THE WIZARD who has his head dashed viciously against the wall by a possessed killer. Enjoy.

Pretty twisted images so far Uzi. The one from The Devil is my fave so far, who knew the real contents of blood is actually cheese! But none have grossed me out like, say that picture I saw off death net many years ago of a guy slicing his penis in two! I still wake up in the middle of the night screaming from that one....

The wonderful ending from the excellent but sadly almost unknown Hong Kong thriller EXPOSED TO DANGER (starring Alan Tam). In total rip-off from the first FRIDAY THE 13TH the heroine decapitates her opponent in slow motion (I guess this is shot almost identical to FRIDAY).
