I haven't read any Clegg yet, what would you guys recommend starting with?
Welcome aboard JNewman, happy to have another horror lit fan in the group.

JNewman isn't only a horror lit fan, EA. He's a writer. Unless he isn't the James Newman I'm thinking of. Here's a link to his myspace: http://www.myspace.com/newmanjames
I finished McCammon's Mystery Walk last night. Entertaining read in my opinion. I'd recommend it.
I started listening to a podiobook today as well. Mark Yoshimoto Nemcoff's Diary Of A Madman. REALLY enjoying it so far...

ahem, hey there Mr. James Newman. How's about hooking us horrorspeakers up with an ebook or something.
Just kidding, man......unless you're gonna do it.

Hey, thanks for the warm welcome, guys! I actually became a member of this forum *years* ago, but then I'm not sure how I lost track of it, 'cause this place rocks! I seem to remember having some weird log-in problems; I think that's why I stopped dropping by after only posting a handful of times.
Anyway . . . I appreciate it! Cool to be "recognized."

McCammon's Mystery Walk
Great book, BTW. The first my wife and I ever read *together*, way back in the day. Now reading books together has become tradition (especially when a new one is released by Joe R. Lansdale or Bentley Little).
Yeah, I know . . . how incredibly friggin' geeky is that?!

Gee, now I feel all silly and red-faced. Thanks for taking up my slack DS. Fan, author or both, we're more than happy to have you back on board JNewman.

More like lucky. My wife and I have tried that a few times with no success.

EA, I'll send you my copy of Mystery Walk if you send me They Thirst.
It doesn't have to be a permanent trade. I'm just a cheap bastard that wants to read They Thirst.
I'll send a movie of your choosing as well.

Yeah, that would be cool. However, the first several pages of my copy are about to fall out of the book, so it might be a little annoying trying to hold the thing together.
PM me your postal. Do you still have mine?

OK . . . I'd like to send you two guys a copy of my short-story collection, PEOPLE ARE STRANGE, to say thanks for the warm welcome(back)s.
It might be a week or two till I get to the Post Office, but if you'll PM me your addresses, EdgarAllen and DanielSavage, I'd love to throw a book your way.
Assuming you're interested, of course.

My pleasure, man. I look forward to hearing what you think . . . .
Here's a review of the collection from no other than FAMOUS MONSTERS! http://www.famousmonstersoffilmland.com/2008/11/19/review-people-are-strange-james-newman/
Anyway . . . thanks again. No more spam, I promise. That's not why I'm here.

That's awesome and very much appreciated, but I don't expect you to give me anything. I was just kidding around, man...

Going once . . . going twice . . . .
Seriously, dude. If you're interested, I'd love to throw a copy your way. Got a few extra copies of this one, unlike most of my stuff (which I frequently buy off the Internet just to *have* copies in my collection -- how sad is that?! LOL).
