I noticed that, recently, people have been posting funny videos on the board. I figured it might be a good idea to have a whole thread devoted to this practice (or maybe not, we'll see).
I'm expecting mostly horror/cult movie-related vids (since, after all, this is what this place is about, amIright), altho you fellas should feel free to post really funny vids even if they aren't horror related.

I just got that movie from netflix and watched it last night. I remember seeing the boxart when I was young and wanting to see it, and finally got around to it.
What a king cheese classic.
watching it with my wife made it funnier with serious questions from her like
"why does that man look like a woman?"
and the best question she asked me was
"why are you watching this movie?"

You rock, Hammer. That is a shame, I kinda see their point but don't they realize that 1) it's free advertisement (that was pretty awesome IMO) and 2) they're shitting on their fans.
When Warner Bros. started doing that crap with Harry Potter fan sites, some parents started organizing a boycott of all things Harry Potter. The WB suddenly found their heart and stopped picking on the kiddies' web sites PDQ.

Maybe they have their own plans for Marvel Zombies. I'd love to see one of the feature length Marvel cartoons based on the subject. I'd really like to see the Infinity War too, but I'm a comic book nerd. I'm not that bad though. I don't have conversations on why Marvel is superior to DC or anything like that. I just enjoy reading them when a storyline sparks my interest "which hasn't happened recently".

I recently saw this film called the Lather Effect and I fell in love with it. Its about a bunch of 30 somethings who reunite for a party and in its aftermath talk about old freindships, relationships, and feelings. Its a great character study with great characters. I especially like that they are wearing retro clothes the entire time. Eric Stoltz character is awesome as the 30 yr old stoner who never grew up. I could find a clip that does the film justice but I found this one on youtube:

It was filmed about 5 minutes from where I live, and the guy with the mustache and logo-less black T-shirt was a film school buddy of mine. The main guy with the brown cap is part of a group of indie filmmakers that made a TV show called Phylactère Cola, which had amazing visuals (made on roughly no budget) and was filled with homages to obscure cult movies, from the Santo flicks to Italian zombie gorefests.

I remember that, that is just insane.
I used to work for PBS and have to watch all the low budget educational crap.. there is some wild stuff out there.. I always thought about grabbing some of it and posting it online.. the only one I managed to grab was an episode of Zaboomafoo
it was just too awesome for me to leave at just a laugh.. I had to record it and bring it home.

Hadnt seen the others, just this one, complete with him making the motion of jammin the remote up his ass, but now that I've seen some others, including the truck one, I tend to agree with you. Seems staged. If not, this kid SERIOUSLY needs to be locked up.

Jeesh, I could rap better than that.
I just recently got in to rap in 2009. Let me be clear though that I am super super selective. I find TECH N9NE to be quite enjoyable. Fast, literate, and understandable, he does a lot of "dark rap" also. His last album K.O.D. was basically rap's equivalent to Antichrist Superstar.
SLAUGHTERHOUSE is also a new foursome started by Joe Budden, and that shit is hot nigga  .
oh and another thing that makes TECH N9NE great is he can reproduce his album quality vocals live. Something I have never heard another rapper do including lil wayne.
Rick Ross' deeper than rap is pretty awesome too, mainly because the BGM has such great production values.

I'm NOT a fan of rap music as a whole, but I do enjoy some of the stuff from the 90's. Guys like 2pac, Nas and the Wu Tang Clan mostly.
I'm a car audio guy, so I'm exposed to far more rap music than I care to admit...

I just re-discovered the show a couple of weeks back after originally seeing the show back in the mid eighties, and it really is one of the funniest I've ever seen. Adrian Edmondson and Rik Mayall are comic geniuses. There's lots of their stuff on youtube. If you need your funny bone tickled, I highly recommend "The Young One's", "Filthy Rich & Catflap" and "Bottom" and "Bottom Live".

The 3D printers will have near infinite uses in the future. The fact that it can duplicate working tools is absolutely incredible. When I think about it, it's the next best thing to teleportation. At any rate, no matter how you look at it, it's nuts.
This is one small example of something it'd be good for, so hear me out;
Let's say the back side of your ipod case breaks for whatever reason? Instead of buying a replacement online and waiting a week for it to arrive, you can simply download the schematic for the replacement and make one instantly with the 3d printer. That's fuckin' incredible....and it's about the most useless scenario I can think of.

If people realize it's importance and the MANY different things the technology can be used for, you can bet your bottom dollar it'll catch on. It may never be affordable enough for guys like us, but think of the possibilities it brings to the table in a warehouse or factory setting.
Teleportation, if even scientifically possible, is decades or even centuries away at this juncture...in my opinion of course. I think your job is safe for now.

The 3D printers would be incredible for car audio manufacturers as well. They'd literally NEVER run out of baskets, voice coil formers or terminals ever again...and there are lots of other uses as well.
If they could somehow use a material that conducts electricity well, that'd really be something.
