Clown movies

I love horror movies involving clowns,
Killer Klowns from Outter space
Clownhouse
It

Can anyone name some other good ones? (killjoy=not good)

I love the Poltergeist clown. Okay, so its not a real clown, but it still carried some pretty intense scenes considering it's a toy.

Hmm... I think you already picked the best ones.

I enjoyed "The clown at midnight" a lot, but that doesn't seem to be a very generalized opinion.

There was also this one slasher movie with a killer in a clown costumer offing the girls who work on a sex phone service... I can't remember the title...

Re: Clown movies

Since the definition of "good" is subjective, I'll list a few that haven't already been mentioned that feature clowns.

Out of the Dark - that's the sex phone one.
Camp Blood 1 & 2
Grim Weekend
Fear of Clowns
Dead Clowns
Wes Craven's Carnival of Souls
House on Sorority Row
The Clown Murders

can't forget Killjoy by FullMoon.

Also I wouldn't consider "SK's It" a clown film, as it wasn't a real clown.

Yeah, but it's still a scary-clown film... and honestly, Pennywise fits that description quite nicely. Not only that, but his creepy face manages to stick in your head after you see the movie.

But really, you can't beat 'Killer Klowns From Outer Space'. It's such good campy fun, no one in their right mind could resist it, or not be entertained by it. Oh, and I am aware that it was mentioned already, I just wanted to add my extra little plug for the film.

Oh yes.....that face, I remember watching It and Exorcist back to back so that Reagans face, and Pennywise's face would stick my head after they were done.

Umberto Lenzi's Ghosthouse, perhaps? That one scared the crap out of me as a kid (tho I don't know if it'd hold up very well now that I'm a fully grown macho hombre ).
