Halloween (2007) time period
|
|
possible minor spoiler
Anyone else see the new Halloween remake? I realized the film 'have an exact time period like the original. Of course it takes place over the course of 15 years like the original. The film seems to begin around 1978-1980ish and I'm guessing ends around 1994-97ish. Some of cars at the end of the movie seem to be 2000 models though...
Just bringing up something stupid to ponder...
BTW anyone else see the trailer for The MisT?

I was wondering that, myself. The tiny cell phones and the short skirt gave me the impression that it was more current. Loved the Slayer shirt the one girl was wearing...

I assumed the second "half" took place in the present day. If it took place in the 90's its just another stupid, pointless element to the piece of crap we call "Rob Zombie's Halloween."
The REAL question is: If this too place in the 90's, and those girls went to see Scream, and the scene with the original Halloween came up, would it result in one of those horrible things Doc from Back to the Future was warning us about??

"A paradox? You mean that thing that can destroy the universe?" That's heavy, Doc.

I hate remakes! Rob tries do make his movies in "old school style", the "atmosphere" tries to be like in movies from 70's-80's. But he don't really succeeded in doing it. You can see some things from TTCM in his movie House of 1000 corpse. But anyway. I don't think that remake will be so good as orginal Halloween movie. It's just idiotic to make remakes, they'll never be better or good.
