This is an excently movie no doubt. It's pretty cheap on DVD...and I bought the damn thing for around $30 bucks on tape 6 years ago eh.

I watched this movie about a month ago and... I think it's terrible. There were some really artistic and well made sequences but they were few and far between. My favorite thing was the way the house looked in the dark in the beginning of the movie and the scenes in the attic. Apart from that, I had a lot of trouble staying awake through the movie.

Could be a mood thing. It happens to me all the time, especially with horror.

Mood versus production values, perhaps. To me, it never felt like the director had full control over the movie. Because it went off into space a lot. But it was uneventful and strange space.
