That one is a major childhood favorite of mine. The atmosphear and special effects were just pure awesome.
Last time I re-watched it was well over five years ago, so I guess a little re-visiting is in order...

I didn't know it was targetted at kids. Well, kiddy movie or not, it's creepier and spookier than most not-for-children horror movies, imho. I know it sure freaked me out the first time I saw it

It's a shame that, nowadays, children's movies have become so tame, bland and non-threatening...

I remember part 2 being a total disapointment.
