Hard to say, we think we're matrue enough to understand reality and fantasy, but still I meet people who say they hate GTA because they say it promotes violence. It seems that violent art doesn't create violent people, it creates bored stupid people who feel they have to bitch about something.

That aside, I have to say I can see that film being made, and made well, depends on who is behind it, not creating a music video jump cut film, but something darker, closer to Seven, showing the idea not the actual act of violence at first to get us comfortable, and then slamming us in the face with an ultra gorey climax
