I watched Ray Bradbury Theatre quite a bit when I was a youngster
I've seen some of those too. Alfred Hitchcock Presents have done a few good episodes based on Bradbury stories. One is called The Jar and another centers around Mexico's El Día de los Muertos.Quote:
but I've never read a single Bradbury story.
He's awesome IMO. Maybe my favorite Ray Bradbury short story (maybe my fav short story period) is Zero Hour. Highly recommend. I still can't remember the name of his story about paedophobia, but I'm keep thinking it's probably in The October Country collection.Quote:
I know this sounds ridiculous, but books are too expensive for me. I have to drive an hour and a half to the nearest book store, and if I buy something that I don't like it ends up costing a hell of a lot of money for basically nothing. I know that amazon.com has pretty much every book EVER, but I despise buying anything online...
Not being a smartass here, but do you have decent library? Most of what I read these days comes from there. There are about 13 libraries in my regional network and they rival some of the big city networks. Aside from Netflix, get most of my DVDs there too.
