Exactly.

And if those who are making these films know that a remake such as the Omen, being essentially shot for shot, resulting in as you perfectly put it, a shell, why would they bother? The answer has to be dollars. And once this becomes obvious, another thing has to become just as obvious. How special and different can this movie be when the the onlt statement the people making it are trying to convey is, "Pay me" ?

And this as a movie fan also offends me. kind of like the creators (and I use that term very loosely, are saying: "Ok folks what we got here is a story I didnt write, if fact didnt even change it much. Same characters, same ending. So really I didnt do anything. Not really making any statements or trying to shake up the movie world with my thoughts and observations. I'm justa guy who wants to make a few bucks. So come see my movie. Its nothing special. I just need to pay the bills."
