CD-Projectk is a developer I'\m sure none of you have heard of, But they are one of the greatest things to happen to gaming in years.

They have put out one major game so far, it's called "The Witcher" and it's a deep, mature and very well rated RPG for the PC (and I hear it will make it's way to Xbox 360 someday).

Witcher was not without some complaints, it sold incredibly well and they decided to thank fans who bought it by making a list of all of the complaints, and making them right.. they rewrote and recorded over 5000 lines of dialogue, fixed load times and any other complaints that filled the list.. the fixes were so drastic they resulted in a 1.5 Gig patch. They also released these changed in a new version called "The Witcher Enhanced Edition". This is how a company should treat it's customers.

Now that brings us to their latest endeavor, www.GOG.com

basically what they are doing is making a steam like service, you shop games, download and play.. their main focus is old games that are great but have not run on modern hardware... so those old games you used to love that won't play on Vista or XP, you can grab them for about $5 here and they will run. It's a good idea and as you can see on the site they already have a pretty killer lineup ready to roll.

Sign up, they will be giving out accounts beginning this weekend I believe.

You will be able to quickly download and revisit classics like Fallout, MDK, Giants and many many more games.

The big fight they are putting up for us gamers is, they are trying to get newer games as well, but they refuse to use DRM, they are telling developers that Piracy exists, if you want to make money give customers a trouble free experience and good value for their money.. if you price it fair, make it work well.. it will sell.

I wish these guys well, they are truly what the gaming world needs more of.
