The only console I've ever had trouble with when it should have been in peak condition was the PS2. Within the first six months of my buying it, it froze on me while playing an NBA game. Restarted it and nothing worked. Just kept getting the Disc Read Error, the error message that so few people ever mention. Like Sony has never had console issues before. Anyway, had to send it to Sony and $60 later, I get a new PS2. Within a couple months, this one starts making an awful grinding and clicking noise. Would only work sporadically. So I decided to shit on the warranty and opened that bitch up and with some help from the internet, somewhat fixed it. The disc tray wouldn't line up with the laser properly or something. To this day it still doesn't run like it should, but it does work. And it wasn't like I didn't treat this things properly. They were in well ventilated spots. I didn't hit them or anything (my controllers were not as lucky on some occasions). These should have worked fine. |
