Oh yes, this is indeed a cheery little number. Definitely one for the whole family. This is indeed a top film (although, having sat through it once, I doubt I would watch it again as the intensity never lets up even once; at least TCM has its moments of comedy, in Switchblade there's nary a smile to be had). Without a doubt the most harrowing film I've seen in many a moon. Mrs Roadkill left me to watch it alone and when I came to bed that night I was white as a sheet (maybe I'm too old for his horror lark!). I kid you not, this film gave me nightmares (as I say, maybe it's an age thing). Any self-respecting horror fan should make a point of seeing it (although if there's a dubbed version, avoid like the proverbial plague and get the subtitled edition). |
