Mister B. Gone is Clive Barker's newest book "I think". It's told by a lesser demon who gets trapped in the book by Johannes Guttenberg's wife who for some reason is an angel in disguise. It's terribly written and boring as hell. Stay away from it. I'm new to Clive Barker's work so could you guys recommend a good Clive Barker book?

The Books of Blood 1 - 3 are a collection of some of the best short story horror ever published and they are all written by Clive Barker. I read them in the mid-80's and have been a fan ever since.

I read the fourth Book of Blood, published as The Inhuman Condition in the U.S. Five stories in all I think. It was awesome. In particular I recommend The Body Politic. I believe Barker's upcoming MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN theatrical release comes from the Books of Blood as well.

Sad to hear this review BTW. I think this book represents Barker's first return to horror writing in several years and it's an interesting concept.

I thought it was an interesting concept too, and that's why I bought it. Unfortunately the book is horrid...
