HorrorSpeak---Terror Awaits You in Every Forum!!!!: Blast Works

After reading some very glowing comments about this game and the fact that it's now selling at Best Buy for $10.. I decided to give it a go.

Blastworks is a new Wii game based of a long running PC series which basically mixes old School sidescrolling Shootemups with the ability to create your own game out of it.

You basically get shapes and animated pieces to work with, you can color them, stretch them, put them together to make your own ships, enemies and such and then create your own levels. The game lets you make an account on their website, link up your wii to that account and upload/download/trade levels and parts.

It has an odd element to the gameplay that as you shoot enemies their corpses float off the screen you can rush in and grab them attaching them to your ship at the angle you touch them, you can build up this huge pile of junk that kin of acts as a shield (it comes off when it's hit), you can hit the Z button to retract that junk shield and save it for when you may need it (boss fights).

This game is truly awesome and a must have if you like shmups, the stock single player content is fun enough, nothing that will blow your mind.. but once you start downloading user made content and then making your own (and it's very very easy I might add) the replay value is endless.
