Okay, first off, let me say to you... AVOID REVIEWS FOR THIS MOVIE! Don't watch the trailer, don't join in on any water-cooler conversation. This a movie that should be seen cold, without any preconceived ideas or expectations. If you can do this, you will enjoy this movie a lot. It will suck you in. It has to get you that way. If it doesn't... the film fails. Now in order to keep my intentions true, I will not say anything about the film itself. I did enjoy it. I was sucked in. However, the vast majority of the audience I was with did not seem allow themselves to be invested in the events or the characters. There were groans and lots of laughs from the folks around me. They were cheating themselves and distracting me... Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to make this movie more than it is... Its kinda like the Blair Witch Project... You'll get it... Or you won't. I do recommend it. On a side note... This could easily be a renter and not a must see in the theatre. Anyone else seen this?

Now that this film has been out awhile on home video, has anyone else seen it? I would be curious as to what you thought.

Not yet, but it's definitely on my rental list. The TV spots I saw when this came out last year left me feeling like this was going to be William Friedkin's best movie since the 70's.

Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday."

I've seen it. I enjoyed the film. Certainly, it's far from what I would categorize as a horror film. Friedkin did a fine job setting the paranoid and psychotic mood. The movie had a kind of twitchy feel to it. I wasn't a fan of the ending but I can see where he was going with it.
Definitely an interesting rental.

I watched Bug when it first came to dvd. I'm quite indifferent to the movie, it wasn't bad or good in my opinion. I had thought "for some reason" that it was going to be about aliens. I was WAY wrong. It's a weird movie, maybe I should watch it again...
