Ok, as you may know I'm almost done with PsychoBoy's principal photography, and the editing will be done by atleast the end of may. I am already in the middle of working on my next film, and have two scripts that are halfway done and wondering which one I should focus on next
First is a film called DEGRADE
The film follows two 20 something guys, KEITH and DARREL, who live in a trailer together on the outskirts of town, the trailer is in bad shape, neither is very tidy, leaving the mess to grow and grow. KEITH is starting to lose his grip, and begins to have paranoid delusions, and walks around the trailer with a loaded hand gun, yelling at people who are not there, and shooting at the walls. DARREL has enough and leaves.
This brings KEITH to a breaking point, while DARREL is driving away, he gets into a car accident, and is hospitalized, while in the hospital, his girl friend DONNA comforts him and tries to talk sense into him that living with his friend seems simple and fun, doing as you please, it is leading him down a bad road.
In the meantime, KEVIN's mental state is slipping further and further, now alone in a delapadated trailer forced to face his own demons.
It's a simple 3 charicter story, that I can do on a micro budget and within a few months have it in the can.
2nd script is called RAZORDOLL
EVA was an underage prostatute in Washington DC, until her pimps discovered she had a photographic memory, and decided to get rid of her. 5 years after her death, the children and relatives of all of her customers start to disapear. We then discover that after EVA died, she was sent to hell, where she made a deal with Satan to become a CYPHER, taking lives in exchange for her own.
I'm crafting it sorta like a hybrid of SAW and Friday the 13th, with set up charicters to just die, but killing them in very sick and industrial ways. It'll be a higher budget, and more charicters and more special effects, more sets and everything, the story I really am fond of, its the sorta fun sick horror film I've always wanted to do.
Which one do you guys think seems better for a follow up to Psycho Boy?

The themes in Razordoll would more quickly appeal to me. I really enjoy movies that feature supernatural evil of some sort.

me too, I grew up on the hack n slash movies of the early 80s, like Friday the 13th and Pieces, so it does appeal to me, plus the title charicter would be fun to bring to life, a cyber goth vixen, wearing a ww2 gas mask, and dispatching of victems in very twisted traps, and in sick ways. Aside from the budget concerns I think it would be my choice.

Personally I liked the "degrade" idea. Just reading the synopsis gave me a lot of visuals of where you could take that. But both ideas are good.

both ideas have their good points, I am really fond of Razordoll now, every person I talk about it to gets really excited and wants to see the script. which is still halfway done. Degrade still feels good to me also, but hasn't gotten as good of a reaction, personally, I want to do both, but am wondering which one to do first, in the state i'm in, with budget and resoarces, it seems more likly to work on Degrade, seeing as how its only 2 sets, and a 3 charicter story, with small amounts of visual effects, I can focus more on the actors, and not on the effects, and create a really human story that will make people uncomfortable, which is what I want.
Razor doll is more a fun, creepy slasher film, with multiple charicters, lots of visuals, and multiple sets and costumes. for a handful of freaks of Louisiana with no money, it seems more and more likly I'll go for Degrade first. And focus on Razordoll when I can get more help
